  We decided to take a trip to Benahavis to find the rock pools, canyon's and diving spots. Definitely worth the effort! Such a scenic place and diving from the rocks into the cold waters was lovely on such a warm day. The place isn't the easiest to find, but the taxi's seemed to all know exactly where to go.

  Overall it's about a 3km mixture of swimming and low level rock climbing so make sure you've had your wheatabix before hand....!

  One of the Costa Del Sol's hidden gems, diving off 8-10ft high rock races into fresh water pools and then following the direction of the river through the deep ravine. Absolutely amazing experience but not for the faint hearted

  Such an amazing hidden place! I was so gutted I didn't have my biquini on. The view from above was stunning and I am defo going back with friends. So peaceful and magical.

  So the essentials are:- swimming trunks/ costume, some sturdy footwear with a grippy sole and that wont come off easily, even when wet and swimming, and a sense of adventure of course.

  This is one of my favourite places in Spain. I've taken children down there as young 3 years old and they absolutely love it, I've even taken my German shepherd down the river, it was a little challenging with her at the dam part tbh. The only thing that is a problem there is people leaving bottles and rubbish everywhere around the jumping in pool at the start, this I really do not understand...... #TAKEYOURRUBBISHHOME

  Starting at Benahavis resort, you can dive/ jump off the rock faces into deep freshwater pond, then follow the river downstream through the ravine, climbing over rocks and swimming between the tall rock faces. initially the pools are quite shallow, however as you progress they get deeper and the rock face's taller.
